FIVE TRADES. ONE IDEA — SKETCH THE JOB, GET THE CUT LIST, THE COUNT & THE ORDER.
by Shot Works LLC

Five trades.
One tool.

Sketch the job with your finger, the way you already do on the back of a submittal. Get the cut list, the count and the order before you leave the floor — built by tradesmen at a working shop.

The suite

Five apps. Pick your trade.

Same tool, tuned to one trade each. Sketch the work, get the cut list, the count and the order. Learn one, you know them all.

Sketch the run, dodge the duct, get the cut list with the takeouts shown. The laser link for the long ones.

Lined, wrapped or bare. Connector deductions, flex and diffusers, and two ceiling wires on every one.

Coming soon

Lay it out, mark it, count the holes and the bolt kits. Shop welds and field bolts on two different lists.

Coming soon

Take-up, gain and springback figured for your shoe and your material. The mark before you pull the handle.

Coming soon

Mains, branch lines and heads on real spacing. It flags the head that won't make coverage before the walk.

Same idea, five times

Draw it. Get the numbers.

1

Draw it

Sketch the work with your finger, the way you already do. That's the training.

2

Tap the lengths

Type each length right on the drawing — or pair a laser for the long ones.

3

Dodge it

Duct, beam or wall in the way? Mark it and the app does the offset math.

4

Get the numbers

Cut list with the takeouts shown, the count, and the order — before you leave the floor.

Real crews, real jobs

One job from each of the five.

Every app was built on work our own crews were already doing — our jobs, nothing staged, nothing bought off a stock site.

Process piping job
Pipe-ShotProcess piping and rolling offsets — the run that has to hit the tie-in exact.
Ductwork job
Duct-ShotRooftop run, units set, every transition counted before the metal was cut.
Steel fabrication job
Fab-ShotHandrail and ramp — laid out and fabbed in the shop, bolted up on site, fit the first time.
Conduit bending job
Bend-ShotThe sweep everybody photographs — and the one that punishes a bad mark.
Sprinkler job
Sprink-ShotTrim staged and counted — heads, escutcheons and the small parts that fail a walk.
Voice mode

Talk it in. It listens.

Gloves on, hands filthy? Talk. Up a lift, tape in one hand? Talk. Can't see the screen? Talk. Put your instructions in out loud — it comes back with "got it" so you know it heard you, and that's all it ever says. It uses your device's own voice, so it already sounds like the phone in your pocket.

You: "Ten foot even, then a forty-five over the duct."

It: "Got it."

You: "Make that eleven six."

It: "Got it."

The number you lose is the one you read up a ladder and wrote down two minutes later. Say it the second you read it and it's in the sketch. He talks. It listens.

The Bucket

It isn't the same in every trade.

Tell it what you already own and it orders the difference. What sits in the bucket changes by trade — and the app knows it. The material you already own is the cheapest on the job.

Pipe, Bend & Sprink: the material.Whatever's on the truck, on the rack, or in a bin in back — fittings, sticks, drops, heads. It builds the job around your stock and re-figures the math.
Duct: consumables and hangers.A short list on purpose — slips and drives, screws, sealant, tape, hangers and rod. The metal gets built off the cut list.
Fab: everything except the steel.Wire, gas, discs, tips, bolts and the odds and ends. Steel doesn't fit in a bucket — it's ordered off the cut list.
All five: order the difference. What you already own comes off the count, every time. That's the whole point of it.
What we're actually fixing

40 years. Walking out the door.

Every shop has that one guy who looks at a ceiling and just knows — the takeouts, the spacing, which end to hook. Forty years of it, never on paper. And he retires this year.

We put the knowledge in the app.

Published takeouts, real fitting libraries, take-up, gain and spacing. If a number isn't real and published, it says VERIFY — it never guesses.

We gave the school away.

The whole Training Center is free — no login, no email. Hand it to your apprentice on day one. The app is the product; the knowledge belongs to the trade.
